In December 2007, the OPA commissioned a scan of “Emerging Energy Conservation Technologies and Practices”. The scan, co-funded by BC Hydro, the Ontario Ministry of Energy, Enbridge Gas Distribution and Union Gas, was intended to help inform a coordinated short term investment strategy for emerging energy conservation technologies. The focus of the scan was to develop a list of the top 20 technologies for the residential, commercial/institutional, and industrial sectors.
